The Woods at Viewcrest

The City received applications for a new residential subdivision on a vacant 37.7-acre site located generally in the 300 Block of Viewcrest Road and Area 7 of the Edgemoor Neighborhood. The submitted proposal consists of 38 single-family lots and three open-space tracts.

Fairhaven Center Development

Dominion Sustainability Development Corporation is constructing several new buildings in Fairhaven. The private development includes three buildings – one residential, and two residential and commercial – that will sit atop a large parking garage on the property at the northwest corner of Mill Ave and 11th Street, commonly called “The Pit.”  

Old Town Urban Village Development

Several new developments are planned for the Old Town District. The private developments will be constructed through eight city blocks over the next 10 years. In all, they will provide approximately 500 new residential units in Old Town, and commercial space. 

Parking Reforms

The City is considering options for reforming rules that tell us how much land must be set aside for parking cars in Bellingham. If those rules were removed or relaxed, people would have the option of using land previously required for parking to support other uses, including community priorities such as housing, tree canopy, and critical areas.%
