Bellingham is a community that invites people of all abilities and ages to walk and bike for enjoyment, exercise, and daily transportation by providing a safe, convenient and comfortable pedestrian environment.
The City of Bellingham is updating the 2012 Pedestrian Master Plan and the 2014 Bicycle Master Plan. The plans establish citywide pedestrian and bicycle networks, identify and recommend improvements, apply community-identified priorities, and develop a fiscally constrained list of projects for the future. Plan updates are created with extensive input from residents to reflect the values and goals of the community. Updates on these projects are available here.
