Parking Changes Coming to Fairhaven in 2026
Have you noticed the new pay stations installed on some streets in Fairhaven? Starting January 5, 2026, parts of Larrabee Avenue, Harris Avenue, and 11th to 13th Street will transition from 2-hour parking to paid parking.
This change is designed to improve access to local businesses and services by encouraging regular turnover of on-street parking spaces. Time limits alone don’t always work—drivers can move their cars slightly and still occupy spots for long periods. Paid parking helps ensure people use only the time they need, which means more open spaces throughout the day and better access to local businesses. Only areas currently limited to 2-hour parking are affected.
